A place to talk with your people.

Servers for your community, quiet DMs for your friends, calls when you want to hear each other. No feed, no algorithm, just the people you chose.

Free to use. Works in your browser, on Windows and on Android.

Built for the way your server actually runs.

From the cover at the top to the reactions under a message, every part of a server is yours to shape.

A server people recognise

Give it a cover, roles, categories and member-only spaces. List it in Discover when you want new people to find it.

Files people keep coming back for

A Files channel is a download library. Every file has a version, notes and preview pictures. Publish an update without losing the old one, sort files into categories and maintain them together with collaborators.

A gallery for the good stuff

Gallery channels show pictures and videos in a grid. Members star their favourites, and the most-starred post each month gets its own announcement.

Games in the middle of the chat

Type /hangman and pick a word. Everyone guesses in the game's own room, so nobody gets pinged for every letter, and the card in chat keeps score.

A profile, not just a name

Banner, badges, a status that can rotate on its own, and a bio that says who you are.

The reactions you actually use

Save GIFs you like into your own folders, upload your own and keep your server's emoji and stickers close.

Questions

Why does PawTalk use some familiar interface layouts?

PawTalk is an independently developed platform, but that doesn't mean every established interface convention should be rearranged simply to look different.
Familiar and consistent navigation can make software easier to understand and operate, particularly for users who rely on predictable interfaces or assistive technology.
PawTalk is developed in Sweden, where European accessibility requirements are an important part of how we approach interface design. Standards and guidance including EN 301 549 and WCAG emphasise understandable, operable and consistent digital interfaces.
That's why PawTalk may use familiar conventions, such as keeping primary server navigation in a consistent location and keeping member information predictably positioned, when changing them purely for visual uniqueness would make the interface less intuitive or accessible.
Similar placement does not mean similar implementation. PawTalk's backend, permissions, APIs, moderation systems, applications and features are independently developed for PawTalk.
