Community Guidelines
What is and is not allowed on Pawtalk, in plain language.
Last updated 2 September 2026
These rules apply everywhere on Pawtalk - servers, direct messages, profiles, server names, emoji and anything else you can put in front of another person. They apply whether a server is public or private, and whether you made the content here or brought it from somewhere else.
Never allowed
- Sexual content involving minors. Any of it, in any form, including drawn and generated material, and including coded language used to trade or advertise it. This is the one rule with no warning step.
- Grooming. Building a relationship with a minor for sexual purposes, moving them to another platform to do it, or asking a minor for images.
- Threats and violence. Threatening to hurt someone, encouraging others to, or celebrating an attack.
- Encouraging self-harm or suicide. Talking about your own struggles is welcome. Pushing someone toward hurting themselves is not.
- Hate. Attacking people for who they are - race, religion, disability, gender, sexuality or origin.
- Doxxing. Posting someone's address, workplace, school, phone number or any other private detail without their agreement.
- Harassment. Following someone around the platform, brigading, or continuing contact after being asked to stop.
- Malware and scams. Links or files intended to steal accounts, take money, or run code somebody did not agree to.
Needs care
- Adult content belongs only in servers marked for it, and never anywhere a minor can reach.
- Graphic material - real violence, injury, death - needs a warning and a reason to be there at all.
- Spam. Mass invites, repeated advertising and automated posting get removed even when what is being advertised is fine.
Your account is yours
You are responsible for what happens on it. "Someone else was using my account" does not undo a ban, so keep your password to yourself and turn on two-factor authentication.
If something here is unclear, ask before you post. We would much rather answer a question than issue a strike.
