ANTIVIRUS WARNINGS

Your antivirus might flag PawTalk. Here is why.

PawTalk's installers are not code-signed yet. Windows SmartScreen and some antivirus programs, AVG and Avast especially, warn about any new unsigned program, even a clean one. The warning comes from the file being new and unknown, not from anything found inside it, so scanning it again gives the same result.

  • Only download PawTalk from this page on paw-talk.xyz. A copy from anywhere else is not ours.
  • Windows SmartScreen (“Windows protected your PC”): click More info, then Run anyway.
  • AVG or Avast: if PawTalk was moved to quarantine, restore it from the antivirus quarantine and add it as an exception. You can also report it to AVG as a false positive.
  • Not comfortable? That is fine. The browser version has everything and needs no download.
