Delete your PawTalk account

You can delete your PawTalk account yourself at any time, from the website or the PawTalk app.

How to delete your account

1. Sign in to PawTalk at paw-talk.xyz or in the PawTalk app.
2. Open User Settings (the gear next to your name).
3. Go to Account Info and scroll down to Delete account.
4. Press Delete my account, type DELETE and enter your password.

If you own a server, transfer it to someone else or delete it first.

Can't sign in any more? Contact us at support.paw-talk.xyz and we will delete the account for you once we have confirmed it is yours.

What is deleted

• Your profile: name, avatar, banner, bio and pronouns
• Your login details and active sessions
• The text of your messages, and your uploaded files, images and voice messages
• Your reactions, friends list, blocks and server memberships
• Your saved GIFs, badges and settings
• Any bots and developer apps you own, and their tokens

What is kept

• An empty placeholder named Deleted account, so conversations stay readable for the other people in them. It contains none of your personal information.
• Moderation records needed to keep PawTalk safe, without your name attached.

When

Deletion happens right away and cannot be undone.
